If this is the case, then the 2 twist flex wrenches are identical, just one of them is slightly longer. I'm pretty sure the wrenches are the exact same assortment that comes with the C2010 set, which is what I have. The 2 double ended picks are just duplicates of picks I already covered but more annoying to use. You get a basic key extractor which you won't need and if you do, it most likely won't be enough. There is also a W rake or batarang as some call it, again pretty meh but you might get along with it. There are 2 snakes, one with handle and one without. Half ball is like a half diamond but with less feedback, never understood the point of that one. ball rake and snowman, designed for double sided wafer cam locks. That case is fucking badass, holds a lot of stuff. You can modify them easily, of course, or add in any you make. And the tweezer wrench is more or less useless. Too many picks that you just won't ever use, you can modify a couple to be more useful further down the line but there are a few that will just never get used in any way.Ħ wrenches though, which is good, although if the southord set I have is anything to go by, whereas there are different styles in the set they aren't necessarily all gonna different widths etc so in terms of practical use you're only actually getting like 3 different types. It has what you need to get started but also a lot of filler, too much in my opinion. Builds solid fundamentals quite quickly, but you have to take your time and do it properly.

Do this the right way, and you'll be off to the best possible start. The best way to learn is to get a basic door cylinder you can take apart, and do progressive pinning with it. Really small padlocks can actually be a real pain in the ass because of the severely restricted keyway space and you're limited to just raking with them, so if you get stuck on one you won't really have any idea why. They either won't provide any challenge whatsoever and you'll not actually be learning anything, or they will be deceptively difficult and completely kill your confidence.

If you're confident that you won't lose your picks by keeping them in your bag though, I would suggest just keeping your keys in there haha.Īnything at all is a start, although I would advise against starting out with 'tiny locks' which I would assume are padlocks. Of course, you can keep your picks wherever is convenient for you - just make sure they're legal to carry wherever you live just in case.
